Gifts of God for the Glory of God
you are welcome here

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.
Luke 6:38

Our knowledgeable staff here at St. Stephen's has developed a Volunteer Handbook that describes the many opportunities for you to get involved in life here at St. Stephen's.

Whether you want to help with a one time activity or if you have a calling for something more, this handbook is what you need.
The Endowment Fund of St. Stephen’s was established in 2001 to enable the gifting of funds to the church that would provide for a long-term contribution. Only the income from the principal is to be used to create new and expanded opportunities for programs, ministries and missionary work outside of general operations. The Fund will ensure the long-term preservation of and improvement of the physical property and financial stability at St. Stephen’s in a way that will not diminish the responsible current support by its members of the general operations of the Parish through annual giving. It is envisioned that parishioners will make contributions to honor others or from an estate in memory of a loved one.
Grants will be made annually based upon application to the Endowment Fund Committee, which will look to make disbursements that enhance current programs, start new programs or ministries or provide supplemental funds for the maintenance or beautification of St. Stephen’s. It is limited in the amount of support it can provide for the annual operating budget of the church.

Individuals or groups interested in applying for a grant should complete the application form. Normally, applications should be submitted by September 15th in order to receive funding for the following calendar year.
Did you know that you can donate appreciated stock to St. Stephen's for your annual pledge? If you itemize, you get to claim the value of the stock at the time of the transfer and avoid paying any capital gains. St. Stephen's then sells the stock and collects the proceeds for the annual operating budget. Even if you don't itemize, you avoid paying any capital gains.

We recently closed St. Stephen's Brokerage Account and replaced it with a new Brokerage Account (lower fees) so if you would like to donate in this manner, please send an e-mail to our treasurer for more information. As always, please check with your tax advisor to assess your specific eligibility.
