The Baldwin Church and Center does many things. They serve meals, tutor kids, and provide clothing, low-cost day care and more. They also work with addressing the underlying issues of unemployment and low income with programs like Summer Tech, counseling, healthy living and tutoring programs.
St. Stephen's helps the Baldwin Center in many ways. Our Geranium Sale in the spring raises money for the Baldwin Center, as does the Entertainment Book Sale. We also work at the Soup kitchen about 4 times a year, or every 5th Friday. Clothes donated to the Baldwin Center are put in the Clothing Closet and given to the clients who “shop” there. We also donate food and unwrapped gifts at Christmas time.
