Ray Aiello is St. Stephen's Sexton (or the all around building manager, maintenance man, grounds keeper, etc.) and joined the staff in May 2010.  Ray has many years experience in building maintenance and as Facilities Coordinator at a large church.

He works in coordination with the Buildings & Grounds Committee (see below).

Mission: To support the St. Stephen's Building Manager and to maintain, beautify and improve the church building and its grounds 
Accomplishments in 2011:
  • Thanks to the dynamic involvement of our Building Manager, Ray Aiello, an amazing number of larger projects were completed this year.
  • Among the tasks completed by Ray in addition to his regular duties of keeping the Church clean (and this cannot be a complete list): Ray installed a commercial grade water heater that supplies the kitchen and added a hot water line from that heater to the back unisex bathroom shower; Ray helped install the Communication Committees’ Welcome Center boards in the Lobby; and fixed leaks of the church school roof; repaired Parish Hall tile; replaced gaskets and door panels for the Kitchen freezer and refrigerator; solved the lack of heat problem in the Choir room; installed lock box for entry doors; and helped with the plan to install new computers with software and the telephone system.
  • Ray facilitated the following improvements: Secured the roof in the YAC room facilitated and had the leak stopped; the installation of a new fire alarm; parking lot repair, reseal and pole floodlights repair; obtained Architects report on options for replacement of the Church School wing roof, sealed Church School roof by removing the ridge vent; had an HVAC compressor replaced; had the rear walkway leveled; had the main double door latch mechanisms repaired; had the carpet repaired and stretched
  • With the assistance of some parishioners and J2A youth we had a Spring Cleanup and two weekends of cleanup in November.
